Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete getting ready for significant competition

The rising star has impressive online presence

Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known backers when she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous international courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa practically suggested to play and enjoy myself," she explained.

"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has played in only three events this year and has the 461st position in AJGA standings.

However she can get advice from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with her mother.

"He stands as the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.

"And he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to go out there, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."

Kai will face some of the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai helps introduce golf to different demographics, specifically with the next generation.

The young star boasts millions of followers and has started her own clothing and lifestyle label.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
