An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The jet landed based on established safety measures and everyone onboard, such as Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative stated in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This incident isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet transporting a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was forced to turn back to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
