Homages Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the movie, adding that he could not remember "any day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official decided to block the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A legal directive issued a security hold on the cases to restrict the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a official listing listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the killings, public personalities offered divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing provocative statements that were met with immediate backlash by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the detractors recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan characterized the statements as "shocking" and remarked they revealed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an associate ought to have acted when the decision to weigh in on the death was made.
