David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The comedian

Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding reports of questionable actions involving women.

The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Highly Successful Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
