Barcelona Set to Play First Game at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
