In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret sect.

The mission focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an special katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement." True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
